Two men appear in court over South Auckland shooting that left man dead, women injured

The two men accused of the murder of Abraham Tuuheava and the attempted murder of a woman on Greenwood Road in Mangere, Auckland on May 1 have appeared in Manukau District Court this afternoon.

The men stood in the dock together, one dressed in a blue police boiler suit and the other wearing in a white long sleeve top.

Both entered no plea and were given name suppression by Judge Chris McGuire.

The accused have been remanded in custody and will appear at Auckland High Court later this month.

Eplahame Tu'uheava, 28, was fatally shot while his wife Mele survived a gunshot to her upper body.

She remains in hospital.
