Newly appointed Hurricanes assistant coach Carlos Spencer says he can't wait to work with current superstar first-five Beauden Barrett, as he prepares for his new role beginning next year.
Spencer, 42, was today confirmed as the latest addition to the Hurricanes' coaching staff, joining next year from Japanese side Sunnix Blues.
Speaking to media this morning, Spencer couldn't hide his excitement at getting to work with the world's best player at the Hurricanes.
"I'm thrilled with that. I'm really excited like I said earlier, and I just can’t wait," Spencer said.
"And if I can teach him something that he doesn't already know, then that's great.
"But like I said, I'm going to learn a lot off him, and those experienced guy as well, which I'm really looking forward to."
