Female pedestrian dies after being hit by car on Auckland's North Shore

A woman has died following after being hit by a vehicle on Auckland's North Shore earlier this evening.

Police say the crash happened on Forrest Hill Road around 5.50pm when a single vehicle collided with a pedestrian.

The woman was taken by ambulance to hospital, but she died a short time later.

The Serious Crash Unit are investigating.
