A well known Kiwi pioneer has kicked off the country's biggest tourism event this morning by bungy jumping from a helicopter hovering above the Dunedin Harbour.
The co-founder of AJ Hackett New Zealand, Henry Van Asch, took the 150 metre leap to mark the beginning of TRENZ - the Tourism Industry's International Tradeshow.
The company has also just launched a new "Live More, Fear Less" campaign as they head into their 30th year in the business.
"We've developed that campaign to sort of encapsulate the emotional journey's that people go through when they experience bungy or sky jump or bridge climb and our other products around New Zealand," Henry Van Asch said.
"So people have set themselves to do these goals and when they come out of it they get this big boost to their self-esteem and really the big thing is they think if I can do this I can do anything."
Later this year AJ Hackett is opening up a brand new experience at the Nevis Valley in Queenstown.
