Man hospitalised following electric shock at Auckland's Sylvia Park mall

A 30-year-old man has been hospitalised today after sustaining an electric shock at Sylvia Park mall in Auckland.

A St John spokesperson said the man was taken to Middlemore Hospital in a moderate condition after he suffered the shock just before 4pm today.

Fire and Emergency NZ said Sylvia Park was evacuated for 15-20 minutes at the Warehouse end of the mall, but has since been reopened.
