Man dead after ute rolls in Canterbury

A man has died after he rolled his ute near the Canterbury town of Kurow today.

At approximately 12:35pm today police responded to a fatal crash on Hakataramea Valley Road, near Kurow - about 60km north west of Oamaru.

The single male occupant died at the scene after his ute rolled near Hakataramea Downs Bridge Road.

The Police Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
