The Hurricanes are beaming over the return of Nehe Milner-Skudder from injury, as the livewire outside back made his first start of 2018 in the 28-19 win against the Lions on Saturday.

Milner-Skudder, 27, made a surprise start for the Hurricanes at fullback after Jordie Barrett went down in the warm-up with an ankle injury, getting through 65 minutes unscathed.

Speaking at team training today, assistant Jason Holland spoke of his delight at seeing Milner-Skudder back in action.

"It's just exciting to have Skuds (Milner-Skudder) out on the field," he said.

"You get a bit excited when he gets the ball, and hope to see his feet get going.

"I genuinely think that the more rugby he plays, the better Nehe gets, so it was good that he got a good 65 minutes on the weekend."
