Hurricanes wing Ben Lam is ready for a call-up into the All Blacks squad on his current form, according to teammate Nehe Milner-Skudder.
Lam, 26, has found his feet at the Hurricanes this season, grabbing hold of the number 11 jersey and cementing himself as Super Rugby's top try scorer so far in 2018 with 12, including a hat trick in his side's 28-19 win over the Lions on Saturday.
Speaking at Hurricanes training today, Milner-Skudder backed his teammate for higher honours with the All Blacks, as selectors prepare to name their squad for next month's series with France.
"Going off his form today, he's been absolutely killing it," he said.
"(It's) tough to leave him out, obviously I'm not a selector - but I think his form at the moment warrants higher honours."
"He's doing everything he has to to make that team, but I guess we'll just wait and see."
