Hurricanes star Nehe Milner-Skudder says he's happy to have got through his first Super Rugby start of 2018 unscathed, making his return from injury in his side's 28-19 win over the Lions on Saturday.
Milner-Skudder, 27, started at fullback for the Hurricanes after Jordie Barrett went down with an ankle injury in the team's warm-up, playing 65 minutes before being substituted.
Speaking at his team's training this afternoon, Milner-Skudder spoke of his relief having gotten through the match without picking up another injury.
"(I) pulled up pretty well considering," he said.
"The plan was to come off the bench, and get a few more minutes than against the Sunwolves, but Jordie tweaked his ankle.
"I was pretty pleased to get through 65-odd minutes and still be in one piece. I'm pretty rapt about that."
