Even royal children wear hand-me-downs - something familiar in photos of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis

A highly publicised photo released at the weekend of Princess Charlotte kissing her baby brother Prince Louis rang a bell with royal watchers who spotted that the young royals were wearing hand-me-down clothing.

In the photo taken by their mother Catherine the Duchess of Cambridge, the newborn is seen wearing a matching cream jumper and trouser set previously worn by his older sister Princess Charlotte, Australia's Nine News reports.

The three-year-old princess is seen wearing the same navy blue cardigan that elder brother Prince George, four, previously wore in a Vanity Fair photo shoot celebrating their great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth's 90th birthday.

Last year, the young princess was spotted wearing a pair of her uncle Harry's red buckled shoes while touching down in Warsaw.
