Sixteen bus drivers in the small towns of Te Awamutu and Otorohanga will go on strike tomorrow, with scores school children having to find another way to and from school.
First Union said in a statement that the drivers, who are mostly older, retired people who have come back to work part time for their communities, are unhappy with pay pakcets provided by Go Bus.
Drivers will form a picket lin outside Go Bus's premises on Ohaupo Street in Te Awamutu.
Further strikes are currently being considered as well, as spokesperson said.
