Prime Minster Jacinda Ardern has had an hour-long breakfast meeting with Hillary Clinton.

The pair exchanged presents and had time for a quick selfie, with Ms Ardern to comment on their discussions further this afternoon at her post-Cabinet press conference.

Mrs Clinton is speaking at 'An Evening with Hillary Rodham Clinton' at Spark Arena this evening.

Tickets for the event start from $195, with a VIP seat costing $495.
