Black Ferns Sevens star Ruby Tui praised her teammates' Commonwealth Games gold medal victory, after she was ruled out of the tournament with the mumps.
As the Black Ferns Sevens returned to New Zealand from victories in both Australia and Japan in the last month, Tui and the rest of the squad that didn't travel were there to greet their victorious teammates.
Tui in particular was presented with her teammates medals, having missed out on being awarded one herself.
Speaking to 1 NEWS, Tui said she had no regrets about missing the tournament, because of the success of her teammates.
"All 20 of us contributed so much, we trained for that final in particular, probably for two months straight," she said.
"We all looked like how Kelly [Brazier] looked at the end of the final.
"There was not a part of me that didn't feel like I contributed with the rest of the girls back home.
"I can't fathom being disappointed or sad because we won. We won. We showed the world how amazing women's rugby is."
