The birth of the latest royal baby late on Monday night (NZ time) has many wondering where the baby boy sits in the royal line.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s third child is fifth in line to the throne.
At 92, Queen Elizabeth II is still the reigning monarch with Prince Charles next in line.
The new baby’s father, William, the Duke of Cambridge is third, while the baby’s older siblings George and Charlotte are third and fourth respectively.
Charlotte would have been overtaken by her baby brother until new rules came into effect three years ago which keeps the baby fifth.
After the new born baby comes uncle Harry, officially Prince Henry Of Wales.
Following that, it’s Prince Andrew, the Duke of York.
For the top six, the Queen still has to approve their marriages.
