Warriors halfback Mason Lino has earned the respect of his teammates, and his opposition in recent weeks, with his performances standing out for club captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck.

Lino, 24, has had to fill in at halfback on short notice twice for the Warriors this season, playing in victories over the Roosters in Sydney, before last week's masterclass against the previously unbeaten Dragons.

He will face the Melbourne Storm in their Anzac Day clash tomorrow night.

Speaking to media yesterday, Tuivasa-Sheck had nothing but praise for Lino, as the youngster fills the boots of the Warriors' highest ever points scorer and arguably biggest name, Shaun Johnson.

"He's stepped up every time he's got the call up," Tuivasa-Sheck said.

"I put it down to his personality.

"If you asked the rest of the group about Mason, they'd say he's a fun guy, he's got that little buzz about him."

Tuivasa-Sheck also backed Lino's good form to continue in tomorrow night's traditional Anzac Day clash in Melbourne.

"I think he'll go well, like he has the last couple of games."
