Chicago Cubs star Kris Bryant somehow stayed on his feet despite being struck in the head by a 154km/h pitch.
Bryant was in his first at-bat against Colorado today when a fast ball from Rockies pitcher German Marquez smashed into his helmet.
The blow knocked off Bryant’s glasses and sent him reeling back towards his dugout where he was held up by manager Joe Maddon.
Side on replays showed the ball struck the peak of Bryant’s helmet, sending the lid spinning around on his head.
Bryant is expected to fly out of Denver with the team but will undergo more tests.
For the records, the Cubs beat Colorado, 9-7, in a wild game.
