Nurses and midwives begin vote on further strike action

Nurses and midwives across the country will vote whether or not to take a two-day strike.

Union members will start receiving ballot papers today and will have 30 days to vote on whether to take the industrial action.

A potential strike would then take place in early July.

Nurses and DHBs have been locked in a dispute over pay and conditions for months.
