Two people seriously injured after a crash in Wairoa

Two people seriously injured after a two-car crash on Tahaenui Bridge, Wairoa District last night. 

Police and Emergency services attended the crash around 7pm.

A Police spokesperson has told 1 NEWS the patients were airlifted to hospital with serious injuries. 

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the incident and Police are advising motorists to expect delays in the area.
