Jacinda Ardern attends high level security meeting with Five Eyes partners after meeting UK Prime Minister Theresa May

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has attended a high level security meeting in London with four of the Five Eyes intelligence sharing alliance. 

British Prime Minister Teresa May, and the heads of Canada and Australia are also attending the meeting.

Ms Ardern says the use of chemical weapons and cyber security were high on the agenda and that New Zealand will continue to take action against international hackers.

"We've already have a solid basis of action in New Zealand," Ms Ardern told media today.

"We use the info we have to make sure those technical advisories with those who need to know so they're able to pre-empt the damage that can be done by these cyber attacks.

"So that's enabled us as a country to take action that's prevented harm from being done and we'll keep doing that."

Earlier Ms Ardern sat down one on one with Mrs May and met Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall. 

She's due to round off her European visit with the Commonwealth Heads of Government when she meets the Queen tomorrow.
