Watch: Kiwi boxer David Nyika's brutal final punch sends blood flying from rival's mouth

April 13, 2018

The ferocity of David Nyika's punch was made clear when he sent a gob of blood flying from his English rival's mouth during today's thrilling 91kg Commonwealth Games semi-final on the Gold Coast.

After struggling early, Nyika dominated the second and third rounds against Cheavon Clarke, winning an unanimous decision.

He put the finishing touch on his victory with an utterly brutal right hand, which sent blood flying from Clarke.

Nyika, who won 81kg gold in Glasgow, will fight Australia's Jason Whateley for gold tomorrow afternoon.
