Name released of 29-year-old Auckland man fatally shot by police over Easter Holidays

The name of the 29-year-old man fatally shot by police has been released. 

Jerrim Marshall Toms of Onehunga was shot on March 31. 

He died from his injuries. 

Detective Inspector John Sutton said "the police investigation into the incident is ongoing and we are not in a position to comment further at this time". 

The incident happened early morning during Easter weekend. SH1 road was closed between Warkworth and Silverdale.
