A cash-in-transit van was robbed on Auckland's North Shore yesterday which saw a pair of robbers make of with a sum of cash.
The incident took place in Milford at 1.05pm between Milford Shops on Kitchener Rd.
Police say in a statement: "A passenger who was sitting in the back seat of the vehicle has approached the victims and presented a weapon before taking off with a sum of cash".
The pair fled from the scene in 2006 Subaru which police say has been linked to another incident earlier this week in which a female had her handbag snatched.
The earlier incident took place on April 3, also around 1pm, where a male came up from behind a female who was sitting on a public bench on Birkenhead Ave and stole her bag, before fleeing the scene in the same Subaru wagon.
Police say one of the two wanted is a male in his early 20s of Maori or Polynesian appearance with a large build and wearing a black hoodie.
"The vehicle, which was stolen from Glenfield last weekend, was seen in the Sunnynook area yesterday afternoon shortly after the aggravated robbery," says Detective Senior Sergeant Murray.
