Watch as large scrub fire sends thick smoke billowing across busy Auckland motorway

A scrub fire near an Auckland motorway has sparked a warning for motorists to take extra care.

The fire is raging near the northbound lanes of the South Western Motorway, State Highway 20, just after Bader Drive.

The New Zealand Transport Agency says emergency services are enroute and it's asking motorists to take care in the area.

Video shows thick smoke rising from the fire and drifting across an elevated section of the motorway as vehicles drive through the area.
