Fifth teenager arrested in connection with death of Hawke's Bay's man Kelly Donner

Police have arrested a fifth teenager last night, in connection with the death of Kelly Donner in Flaxmere, Hawke's Bay early last month.

Kelly Donner, 40, was found with serious injuries near a Flaxmere tavern early last month but died at the scene.

Today a 14-year-old has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He will appear in the Hastings Youth Court today.

Four others, aged between 14 and 16, appeared in court last month charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Judge Max Courtney granted one female bail, while the other three males have been remanded in custody until their next appearance next week.

Detective Senior Sergeant Marty James says Police are grateful to the members of the public who have come forward with information.

He says they are continuing with their investigations and further charges are likely.
