First a love heart tattoo of Hayley Holt was added to the Ed Sheeran mural in Dunedin, now the singer who does her head in has worn an All Blacks shirt with her name emblazoned on it at his Auckland concert.

The TVNZ 1 Breakfast host reckons she's really made it now.

Holt recently took aim at the English star as the Breakfast team discussed a Dunedin-ratepayer funded organisation's decision to spend more than $8000 on a mural of Ed Sheeran in the city.

"Ed Sheeran seems like a lovely person, but he's so boring," Holt said at the time.

"He just tries to suck up to us by wearing All Blacks shirts, and now we're sucking up to him by putting up a giant picture of his mug.

"He does my head in."

Holt today posted a photo on Instagram of Sheeran wearing a black shirt with "HOLT" written on the back.

"Made it," she wrote with the post under her username "theholtbolt", hashtagging "givemethatshirt" and tagging Sheeran's "teddysphotos".

Sheeran had already shown there were no hard feelings when he spoke to 1 NEWS after a powhiri for him at Mount Smart Stadium yesterday afternoon.

"Like, not everyone's gonna like my music and I don't begrudge her for that," the singer said.

"Like, I actually respect that she has an opinion you know?"

Holt's post today about Sheeran's shirt drew mixed comments.

"I still agree 100% with @theholtbolt on the Sheeran," one person wrote.

But another hit back with: "Cm on Haley Ed's way cool an everyone likes him."

The Grammy Award winner has performed here six times but this was his first powhiri. (Source: Other)
