A fatal crash has closed a section of State Highway 34 in the Bay of Plenty.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Kawerau Road West, where a car had rolled about 10:30 this morning.
One occupant of the vehicle died at the scene, and another has suffered minor injuries.
Diversions are currently in place at the Rotorua end of the highway.
