Visitors arriving at Auckland Airport may take a second look at the Countdown supermarket, which lost the "O" from its illuminated sign.
The vital letter has apparently fallen victim to an electrical fault for the past three days.
A photo of the sign was posted on Instagram with the caption: "There's only one place I shop... Ps @countdown_nz your sign has been broken for 3 days and long may it last."
New Zealanders have been relishing Countdown's glitch in social media comments.
The NZ Herald reports a Countdown store at Northcote on Auckland's North Shore lost its "O" last year, and Countdown Invercargill also had a faulty sign a few years ago.
A Countdown spokesperson says the sign has now been fixed.
