Rockfall injures woman on Mt Taranaki, leaves her stranded with rescue team on way

The US President has put on notice any nations looking to oppose the recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

A woman was injured in a rockfall on Mt Taranaki this afternoon and is waiting to be rescued on the side of the mountain.

Police were alerted at 2:30pm after a 39-year-old woman suffered injuries to her arm while traversing down the mountain.

She was injured near Symes Hut and is waiting to be rescued with her climbing companion.

Alpine Cliff Rescue staff are currently on their way to locate her and rescue her from the mountain.
