Two people escape injury after helicopter crash

Two people have received minor injuries after a helicopter crash in Matamata-Piako District.

Emergency services were called to the incident on Te Aroha-Gordon Road just after 11am.

A police spokesperson told 1NEWS two people on board the helicopter at the time it crashed suffered no serious injuries, just minor scratches.
