March 16, 2018

Kiwi para alpine skier Adam Hall has been awarded the Winter Paralympics' top honour, named as the recipient of the Whan Youn Dai achievement award.

The award is named after a South Korean doctor who advocated for those with disabilities for over 50 years, is awarded to those who best represent the spirit of the games, and Paralympic values.

Hall is one of two recipients of this year's award, with Finnish para nordic skier Sini Pyy this year's female recipient.

The Kiwi claimed bronze at this year's PyeongChang games in the men's super combined standing event earlier this week.

He is the first New Zealander to receive the award, and will be presented with the honour on Sunday night NZT.
