Four teenagers have appeared in the Hastings Youth Court charged in connection with the death of a man outside a Flaxmere pub.
Kelly Donner, 40, was found with serious injuries near a Flaxmere tavern earlier this month but died at the scene.
The group, aged between 14 and 16, appeared this afternoon charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Judge Max Courtney granted one female bail, while three males have been remanded in custody until their next appearance next week.
Police say further charges are likely and they are still looking for a fifth young person involved.
Police have been investigating the incident for nearly two weeks now and have been appealing to the community for any information about the attack.
