All Blacks star Sonny Bill Williams is staying in the same hotel as Australian cricket player David Warner and his wife Candice, potentially adding to the ugly sledging row that has overshadowed the Test series between Australia and the Proteas.
Williams was involved in a tryst in a Sydney hotel with Candice Warner nee Falzon in 2007, with South African fans donning Williams masks to taunt her husband during the recent Second Test.
Williams is with the Blues preparing for this weekend's Super Rugby clash against the Stormers in Cape Town and checked into the same hotel as Warner and husband David, who will open for Australia in the Third Test against the Proteas starting next week.
There has been widespread condemnation of the Williams masks, with Australian netball icon Liz Ellis labelling the masks "disgraceful".
Two Cricket South Africa officials are also facing the sack after posing for photographs with fans wearing the masks.
