Video: Firefighters tackle bush fire next to busy stretch of Auckland motorway

A small bush fire broke out next to State Highway 1 in Auckland this afternoon, near Greenlane.

Footage sent to 1 NEWS shows firefighters battling the blaze as traffic slows down to watch the scene.

The Fire Service told 1 NEWS that they were called to the Greenlane East off-ramp around 2.25pm and the fire is now contained.

It's unclear how the fire started at this stage.
