Child rushed to hospital in critical condition after being hit and run over by car in Auckland

A child is in a critical condition after being run over by a car in an east Auckland car park this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Tamaki Dr, in the Auckland suburb of Mission Bay at 1:30pm today.

The child has been taken to Auckland's Starship Hospital.

Police's Serious Crash Unit have been advised of the accident.
