Watch: Crane lies wrecked after crashing across Brisbane road

A crane has toppled over a four lane road in Brisbane's inner north today while attempting to lift a large sign.

The accident occurred around 8am this morning in the suburb of Mitchelton, and is causing heavy congestion heading into the city, Nine News reported.

The crane was lifting a big "W" sign outside a shopping centre when it crashed over.

No-one was injured in the accident, and no cars were damaged.
