Watch: Teens slosh through flooded Tauranga beach-side reserve in howling winds

Against a howling gale, two teens have filmed themselves splashing through a Tauranga beach-side reserve, flooded from wild seas.

The boys took the brief clip at Otumoetai, Tauranga.

"So guys, we just made our very own backyard swimming pool, not that deep but it's good for toddlers," the person filming said.

Tauranga has experienced widespread flooding along its coastline as a severe storm continues to batter the North Island.
