One dies as car collides with petrol tanker near Opotiki

December 10, 2017

The driver of a car died in a head-on collision with a petrol tanker on State Highway Two at Kutarere near Opotiki tonight.

Police and Ambulance told 1 NEWS that they were called to the scene at 8.55pm.

They found one person deceased. Police say no one else was injured.

The police serious crash unit is investigating and police say there will be traffic delays until the scene is cleared.
