Two people have died after their vehicle rolled on farmland in Taranaki this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the crash on private farmland in Whangamomona Valley, inland from Stratford, at 3.40pm.

The occupants were pronounced dead at the scene, police say.

Police say they are still working to formally identify the victims.

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
