Police say they are left with no option but to scale back search efforts after their search for missing 20-year-old Emma Beattie along the Ashley River turned up no leads.
Ms Beattie went missing on December 1 from her Fernside home and Police and landSAR volunteers had focused search efforts on the area of the river, where she was known to walk.
"Sadly we have now reached the point where all possible search options have been exhausted, and as such, our efforts will now be scaled back," Senior Sergeant Paul Reeves said.
"While there is now no official land-based search, inquiries are still ongoing into Emma’s disappearance."
Ms Beattie left her home on foot carrying a brown drawstring rucksack.
Police said earlier this week that they did not believe there are any suspicious circumstances to Ms Beattie's disappearance.
Anyone with information in Ms Beattie's whereabouts should contact Police, or information can be given anonymously to Crimstoppers on 0800 555 111.
