Police are urging motorists to avoid the wider Browns Bay area on Auckland's North Shore this morning with delays of up to four hours expected, following reports of a gas leak.
The gas leak is reportedly in the Beach Road area, and is causing build up of traffic around Woodlands Crescent and Carlyle Rd.
Emergency services are on the scene and police are encouraging motorists to take alternate routes and avoid the area if possible.
