Raw video: Man in hospital following devastating house fire on Auckland's West Coast

A man has been flown to hospital this morning after being burnt in a house fire on Auckland's West Coast.

The house was burning on Piha Road in Piha after breaking out at 3.30am, a Fire and Emergency NZ spokesman says.

Nine fire crews were tackling the blaze, he said.

He said the man was transported to Middlemore Hospital by Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

His burns are not considered life threatening.
