'He's not going that great' – Steve Hansen's dire message on Kieran Read's back

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen has given an update on the fitness of skipper Kieran Read, following his side's 33-18 win over Wales in Cardiff.

Read, 32, missed the All Blacks' final Test of the year with a back injury, with his coach fearful over his captain's fitness.

"He's not going that great," Hansen said post match.

"His back's pretty sore."

He's got a disk problem in his back - he just needs some time to get over that."
