Pedestrian, 42, dies following crash near Pukekohe

A 42-year-old male has died after the pedestrian was possibly struck by a vehicle near Pukekohe, South Auckland. 

Police were called at 2am to SH2 at Mangatawhiri near Pokeno. 

The highway has been closed between State Highway 1 and Pinnacle Road and will open about 10am. 

Counties Manukau Serious Crash Unit are investigating the incident.
