Hastings man left in ICU with critical injuries

A 40-year-old man was arrested yesterday after a man received critical injuries on Friday.

The victim, a 47-year-old man, has been transported to Hawke's Bay Hospital in a critical condition.

He remains in the Intensive Care Unit in a critical condition.

Inspector Dave Greig, the area commander says, "Inquiries are continuing but police are confident there is no ongoing risk to public safety".

The suspect will appear in the Hastings District Court charged with wounding on Monday.
