Mate Ma'a Tonga won't be complacent in their Rugby League World Cup quarter-final against Lebanon in Christchurch tomorrow, five-eighth Tui Lolohea has said.
After defeating New Zealand 28-22 in their final match of pool play, Tonga find themselves as favourites in their quarter-final, against a lesser fancied Lebanon side.
However, while on paper the team are expected to advance to the semi-finals, Lolohea says that his side aren't treating the match any differently.
"We can't take Lebanon easily," Lolohea told 1 NEWS.
"They've made the quarter-finals for a reason."
"Every game is a ladder for us to climb up, it's another weekend of preparing well and playing to the best that we can."
