Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern was issued with a delegates shirt for the ASEAN Summit made from the husks of pineapples.
Ms Ardern is in the Philipines for the summit where she is expected to meet with heads of state from India, Canada, China, Indonesia and the Philippines.
She remarked that the shirt was "quite starched" and invited reporters to feel the fabric and even give it a sniff - with one member of the media reporting it smelled "nice".
The shirts are a traditional at diplomatic events, with delegates usually posing for a large group photo while wearing their shirt.
