Raw video: Car lies in mangled wreck after roof cut off to free driver after Wellington smash

One person is in a serious to moderate condition after a crash in Newlands, Wellington.

The Fire Service says the person was trapped in the car, and the roof was cut off to free them.

Shift Commander Mike Wanoa says the accident happened when the car allegedly struck another vehicle parked on the side of the road. 

A police spokesperson says there were partial blockages on Stewart Drive.

Emergency services were called to the scene just before 6:30am.
