Police are urging the public to come forward with any information as they continue to search for four people who brutally assaulted a Christchurch man last weekend, leaving him hospitalised.
Police say it occurred on Saturday night in Rolleston. The victim was walking along Tennyson Street when he was attacked.
There are reports the group allegedly held his head under water in an attempt to drown him, but the police say they’re not in a position to confirm those details.
He was then taken to Christchurch Hospital and discharged on Sunday.
Police say they’re continuing to investigate the incident and are following strong lines of enquiry.
