Video: Armed police in Central Otago seeking teen who may have gun

Armed police in Cromwell are seeking a young man who is believed to have a gun.

They are responding to a family harm incident in the Lowburn area of central Otago, and are looking for a European male in his late teens.

He may be in possession of a firearm and should not be approached, although police do not believe he is a direct risk to the public.

Police cordons have now been lifted, although the search for the man continues.

Police are also interested in any sightings of a white Nissan Navara ute - registration KDA680.
