Michael Hill's world renowned private golf course in Arrowtown is also becoming known as a sculpture park.
Over the past few years Mr Hill has been acquiring sculptures from all over the world to make their home at his course.
He personally oversees every choice that makes the cut.
"Overseas people they come here it really freaks them out cause they've heard of the hills but they didn't realise there are all these sculptures here.
"It adds a new dimension to golf," Mr Hill told Seven Sharp.
His latest addition is a piece from British artist Sean Henry, a large sculpture of a seated man that he worked on for three years.
The giant piece weighs in at a hefty 1.2 tonnes and is sure to catch golfers attention as they play the course.
"If we can make the experience something very special that you don't get anywhere else in the world I think we've gained something," Mr Hill said.
